Welcome Future Wolverines!

Students and family members -- we know this is a big next step for you! We are most fortunate to be a high school option for students residing in Griswold & Jewett City, as well as our partner towns of Lisbon, Preston, Voluntown, Sprague, Franklin, Norwich, and Canterbury!

We are thrilled to welcome you to Griswold High School, and happy to guide you along the way. To request more information about our registration process to become a Griswold Wolverine, please select the appropriate button below to complete the GHS Interest form for incoming freshmen or transfer students. It is a simple Google Form that will automatically be submitted to our school counseling department. They will reach out to you with more information regarding our registration process!

*These forms only need to be completed by families of sending town students looking to attend GHS as a freshman or transfer student.

 

Registration Timeline:

  • First step: Fill out GHS Interest Form (sending towns only)

  • Registration Packet Released January 15, 2024

  • Priority Registration Due Date: March 1, 2024

  • Extended Registration Due Date: April 1, 2024

  • 2024-2025 Elective Course Registration Deadline: May 10, 2024 (all GHS students)

  • Summer Registration for New Residents Starts: July 1, 2024

  • Summer Office Hours: Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

  • All Sending Town Students Confirm Registration by August 1, 2024 or ASAP

  • Summer Registration Ends: August 16, 2024

  • First Day of 2024-2025 School Year: August 27, 2024

Start getting your registration materials ready!

Here are several pieces of information you will need to register:

  • Proof of Residency
    • For students who reside in Griswold and Jewett City who are not yet registered in the Griswold Public Schools district, you need to provide 2 forms of address
    • For students in sending towns (Canterbury, Franklin, Lisbon, Norwich, Preston, Voluntown, or Sprague), please contact your Superintendent's Office/District's Central Office for your Permission to Register Form
  • Student's Birth Certificate 
  • Student's Physical & Immunization Record
  • Copy of student's transcript from previous school and copy of last report card
  • Copy of Parent/Guardian's ID or License 
  • Several GHS Registration Forms (to be provided by GHS School Counseling department after Interest form is completed)
  • If you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch, please ask for that required forms

Registration packets will need to be returned via fax, email, snail mail, or in person to the GHS Office.
