GHS Learning Commons Mission Statement
The goal of the GHS Learning Commons is to provide students with the opportunity to become lifelong users and creators of information. We will accomplish this goal by offering students instruction in information literacy and research techniques, encouraging reading for business and reading for pleasure, arranging for equitable access to information, and providing a collaborative space for learning.
This Mission is accomplished by:
- offering a place for academic work during study halls and after school (see hours below)
- providing instruction in Information Literacy including research techniques and evaluation of information. See the Media Center Resources for links to research and writing sources
- offering activities that stimulate interest in reading for information and pleasure
- maintaining a collection of resources and reading materials for all readers in various formats

supporting the school's curriculum and reading initiatives
GHS Learning Commons Hours
The Learning Commons (LC) is open during the school day or after school until 2:30 p.m. Students should make arrangements with the LC staff if additional time is required.
Computers are available for student use beginning at 7:00 a.m.
The Makerspace is open to all students and classrooms by appointment. Come get creative!
