GHS Open House

The annual GHS fall open house takes place each September. The 2023 Open House was on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. The 2024 date will be announced in the near future. With a casual format, families are invited to join us anytime between 5:00-7:00 p.m. for a glimpse at life at Griswold High School. Meet administrators, teachers, and learn about life in and outside of the classroom. There will be a fun scavenger hunt activity with prizes.

Shadow a Student

Dates for the 2023-2024 school year have now closed. Thank you!

"A Day in the Life of a Griswold Wolverine"

Our shadowing program allows a prospective student from our sending towns (Lisbon, Voluntown, Canterbury, Sprague, Preston, Franklin, or Norwich) to accompany a GHS student for a day.

Future Wolverines or those still considering GHS for high school are invited to shadow a current student. We’d love to welcome your 8th grader to GHS to shadow a member of our freshman class for a day. Your child will join students from the start of the day at 7:25 a.m. through dismissal at 2:19 p.m. During this time, they will attend four freshman-level classes, have lunch in our cafeteria, and take a tour of our specialized classrooms and labs including the new advanced technology Nexus Lab, our Photography Lab, the Nursing Lab, Food Lab, Music/Piano Lab, and Wood Shop.

Coming soon for members of the Class of 2029 during the 2024-2025 school year: Express interest in shadowing via a Google Form. A member of our school counseling team will get back to you with more information!

We hope your 8th grader will join us for “A Day in the Life of a Griswold Wolverine!” We’re looking forward to meeting your future Wolverine!
